Common Questions
Some companies have chosen the legal minimum they must have while still advertising that they cover acupuncture, so they mimic Medicare benefits. This means acupuncture, A) can ONLY treat Low Back Pain, and B) MUST be performed or supervised by an MD, PT, or NP. If those two criteria are not met, such companies will not pay. Which means I cannot accept.
Acupuncture is not a “cure”, though the results can be quite rapid. The number of treatments needed can vary widely depending on a number of factors, particularly the length of time since the initial injury/onset. Acupuncture treatments are usually done in sets of six to twelve treatments, with simpler problems being managed in fewer and more complex issues taking longer. We do a full assessment every six treatments to ensure we are on the right track and providing the right amount of value, based on expectations discussed during the initial consultation.
While that varies by state, there are generally two possible routes. First, to be a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc), you need a Masters or PhD/PD in the subject, a minimum of three Board exams, several hundred hours of internship with patient contact, and annual CEU/PDA Requirements. The other possibility is for MDs or PTs, who generally take a 100-hour course to learn acupuncture, though only the ones with the “Certified Acupuncturist” title have obtained Board certification.

My husband had chronic shoulder pain and lower back pain for a long time. After 3 sessions with Kyle Wooten he is experiencing a lot less pain, it’s not completely gone yet but definitely improved! I had one session so far for my knee and I am feeling relief already. He is knowledgeable and easy to talk with. I highly recommend him.

Great experiences! Very friendly, professional, patient and informative (I had lots of questions and so did my daughters). Felt immediate results and pain relief from my overworked, compressed wrists/hands. A couple months back I had kidney pains, went to visit my medical doctor, and had tests ran. They came back with “nothing in the results; everything’s fine”. My first visit at Kuna Wellness- he immediately pointed out my kidney meridian having issues (I didn’t mention them at all)! I felt he listened, addressed my areas of concern (and then some), and he gave great self-care tips and exercises!

My wife had a sudden impairment of speech, stuttering and almost slurring. As well as twitching and shakeness of limbs and we received no information from the hospital about why or what to do. Our cherished friends invited her for a last minute session for deep precisionmassage, acupuncture and cupping after going over her symptoms the night before. After the session she was close to normal in speech and body control! She will undoubtedly get some much needed rest. Kyle is absolutely amazing. I would recommend a visit for anyone looking to improve their overall well-being!

I have suffered from neck pain and immobility for quite some time. I have tried chiropractic in the past with not much relief. I’m glad I gave acupuncture a try. Kyle is very knowledgeable and spent time asking questions to determine the best treatment for my issues. With massage/acupuncture sessions, combined with at home exercise , I am seeing relief from my neck issues. I’m very pleased to find such an amazing acupuncturist as Kyle in our small town of Kuna!

What a cool experience! I was feeling stuffy and fatigued from lingering cold symptoms and with Kyle’s expertise he was able to move the gunk through and out of my body. I feel 10x better, more energized, and I can breathe easier now. He was intuitive, careful, kind, knowledgeable, and all around a great practitioner. I will definitely be back!

Literally took my pain away. I tried chiropractor, Dr, medicine massage. Nothing worked and I was tired of crying. Thought I’d give this a try. It’s been worth every penny. Highly recommend giving him a try.

Kyle took care of my back and neck problems. I’m a contractor and need my body in working order to be able to complete projects. I was skeptical of acupuncture, I am no longer. Thank you Kyle.

Kyle is excellent. He listened to me, was attentive and knowledgable, and very good at finding the trouble areas. My neck and shoulders are so much less painful and greater mobility. Kyle has done a great job and I will continue to use his service!
